17. aprillil 2019 sõlmiti ASi Merko Ehitus kontserni kuuluva SIA Merks ja SIA Orkla Confectionery & Snacks Latvija vahel leping uue shokolaaditehase ehituseks Lätis ?dazhi maakonnas, Birzniekis. Tööd hõlmavad uue shokolaaditehase, mõne väiksema tehnilise hoone, parkla ja sissesõiduteede ehitust. Lepingu maksumus on 8,9 miljonit eurot, millele lisandub käibemaks. Ehitustööd algavad tänavu aprillis ning tööde üleandmine on plaanitud 2020. aasta teise kvartalisse. Construction contract in Latvia (Laima chocolate factory)

On 17 April 2019, SIA Merks, part of AS Merko Ehitus group, has entered into a construction contract with SIA Orkla Confectionery & Snacks Latvija for the new chocolate factory construction works in Latvia, ?dazhi county, Birznieki. The works include construction of a new chocolate factory and few smaller technical buildings as well as parking lot and driveways. The value of the contract is 8.9 million euros, plus value added tax. Construction works will start in April this year and are scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2020.
