Kalakasvatust kavandatakse Hiiumaa rannikumerre, Tahkuna poolsaarest kahel pool paiknevatele potentsiaalsete vesiviljeluse aladele. Hoonestusloaga taotletakse luba avamere sumpades vikerforelli kasvatuse kompleksi rajamiseks aastase toodanguna ehk juurdekasvuga hinnanguliselt 2050 tonni. Hoonestusluba taotletakse 50 aastaks. Saaremere Kala AS submitted to the Technical Regulatory Authority an application of building right for the establishment of offshore fish farming complex in the Estonian waters in vicinity of Hiiumaa and Saaremaa. Fish farm is planned into the sea off the coast of Hiiumaa, to the potential areas of aquaculture located on both sides of Tahkuna peninsula. By the building right the permit is applied for rainbow trout farming complex in the offshore cages with the estimated annual production, i.e. growth of 2050 tons.
