Inbank AS-i tütarettevõte Inbank Technologies OÜ müüs osaluse ettevõttes Veriff OÜ

Täna, 5. jaanuaril jõustus leping, millega Inbank AS-i tütarettevõte Inbank
Technologies OÜ müüs kogu oma 25,9% suuruse osaluse start-up ettevõttes Veriff
OÜ. Müüdud osaluse ostjaks oli Bevoke Estonia OÜ, mille omanikuks on Veriffi
juht ja asutaja Kaarel Kotkas.
Inbanki juhatuse esimehe Jan Andresoo sõnul oli müügi põhjuseks hea
ostupakkumine, mida toetas Inbanki strateegiline otsus suunata investeeringud
fokuseeritult enda põhitegevuse kasvatamisele.
Inbank oli 2015. aastal tegevust alustanud internetipõhist isikutuvastust
pakkuva Veriffi üks asutajatest ning suurinvestoritest, tagades ettevõttele
arenemiseks vajalikud vahendid ja keskkonna. “Viimase aasta jooksul on Veriffi
investorite ring oluliselt laienenud. Leiame, et meie roll selles ettevõttes on
stardikiirenduse võimaldamise näol täidetud ja jääme huviga jälgima Veriffi
edaspidist arengut,” ütles Andresoo.
Veriffi asutaja ja tegevjuhi Kaarel Kotkase sõnul tekkis ostuhuvi, pidades
silmas Veriffi rahvusvahelist arengut. “Oleme meeskonda laiendamas ning üheks
motivatsiooni hoovaks on kahtlemata ka optsioonide pakkumine võtmeisikutele.
Omalt poolt soovin tänada Inbanki, kes oli meie esimeseks investoriks ja
hooandjaks Veriffi tootearenduse algusetapis,” ütles Kotkas.
Inbank jääb Veriffi videoidentifitseerimise teenust endiselt kasutama
lepingulise kliendina. Lisaks Inbankile on Veriffi tuntumateks klientideks
Eestis Hansapost ja LHV.

Inbank AS’s subsidiary Inbank Technologies OÜ sold its holding in Veriff OÜ

Today, on 5 January, Inbank's subsidiary Inbank Technologies OÜ signed a
contract to sell its entire 25,9% shareholding in the start-up company Veriff
OÜ. The shares were purchased by Bevoke Estonia OÜ, owned by Veriff's CEO and
founder Kaarel Kotkas.
According to Jan Andresoo, Chairman of the Management Board of Inbank, the
reason for the transaction was a good purchase price supported by Inbank’s
strategic decision to place a larger emphasis on the growth of its core
business.
Inbank was one of the founders and major investors of Veriff, a provider of
online identity identification services launched in 2015, ensuring the
resources and the environment necessary for the development of the company.
"Over the past year, Veriff's investor base has grown significantly. We believe
that our role in this company in the form of start-up acceleration has been
fulfilled, and we are eager to witness Veriff's future development," Andresoo
said.
According to Kaarel Kotkas, the founder and CEO of Veriff, the interest to buy
arose due to Veriff's international development. "We are expanding our team and
there is no doubt that one of the motivating levers for key employees are share
options. I would like to thank Inbank, who was our first investor and a
kickstarter at the beginning of our product development phase," Kotkas said.
Inbank still remains a contractual customer of Veriff video verification. In
addition to Inbank, Veriff’s best known customers in Estonia include Hansapost
and LHV.
