Tallinn, Eesti, 2013-04-03 12:00 CEST (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- 3. aprillil 2013 sõlmiti AS Merko Ehitus kontserni kuuluva ASi Merko Infra ja Tallinna Spordi- ja Noorsooameti vahel leping Tondiraba jäähalli ehitustöödeks, asukohaga Varraku 14, Lasnamäe, Tallinn. Lepingu kohaselt ehitab AS Merko Infra kolmekorruselise (sh üks maa-alune korrus) polüfunktsionaalse jäähalli, mis koosneb kolmest täismõõtmetega jääväljakust ja kolmest curlingu rajast koos kõigi nende juurde kuuluvate ruumidega (fuajee, riietusruumid, duširuumid, garderoobid, tehnilised ruumid jne). Lisaks on hoonesse planeeritud muud ruumid sportimiseks (võimlemis- ja jõusaalid) ning vaba aja veetmiseks (kohvik, restoran). Esinduslikul peaareenil on istekohti 5000 inimesele ning selle jääpinda on võimalik katta spetsiaalse kattega, et seal korraldada kontserte või muid publikurohkeid üritusi. Lisaks peaareenile on kaks harjutusväljakut. Lepingu maksumus on 22,53 miljonit eurot, millele lisandub käibemaks ning tööde üleandmise tähtaeg on 2014. aasta juuni. Construction contract in Estonia (Tondiraba ice arena in Tallinn)

On 3 April 2013, a contract was signed by AS Merko Infra – part of the AS Merko Ehitus group – and the Tallinn Sports and Youth Department for construction of the Tondiraba ice arena located at Varraku 14, Lasnamäe, Tallinn. Under the contract, AS Merko Infra will build a three-storey (including one underground storey) multifunctional ice arena, consisting of three full-size ice skating areas and three curling lanes including all of the necessary auxiliary areas (lobby, dressing rooms, shower areas, coat check, technical utility spaces etc.). In addition, other sports areas (aerobics and gym areas) and leisure areas (cafe, restaurant) are planned. The centre rink has 5,000 seats and can be covered with a special covering for concerts and other events that draw a high attendance. The other two are practice rinks. The price of the contract is EUR 22.53 million, plus value added tax, and the works are scheduled for completion in June 2014.
