23. detsembril 2009 sõlmiti riigihankel soodsaima pakkumise teinud konsortsiumi AS Merko Ehitus / AS Ehitusfirma Rand ja Tuulberg ja Keskkonnaministeeriumi vahel töövõtuleping tööstusjäätmete ja poolkoksi prügila sulgemiseks Kohtla-Järvel. Lepingu kohaselt teisaldab konsortsium kokku ligi 6 miljonit kuupmeetrit pinnast, kujundab ümber ligi 80 hektarilise jäätmemäe ja haljastab ligi 100 hektarit maad. Lepingu maksumus on 269,3 miljonit krooni, millele lisandub käibemaks ning tööde teostamise tähtajaks on 2013. aasta kevad. 1 EUR = 15,6466 EEK Marko Pern finantsist 6 805 130 marko.pern@merko.ee

On 23 December 2009, the Ministry of the Environment and the consortium of AS Merko Ehitus and AS Ehitusfirma Rand & Tuulberg (who had submitted the best tender in the public procurement competition) concluded a contract of services, for the close-down of the industrial waste and semi-coke landfill at Kohtla-Järve. According to the contract the consortium will move a total of approx. 6 million cubic metres of soil, reclaim nearly 80 hectares of waste dump area, and landscape a total of 100 hectares of land.
