Message
AS-i Tallink Grupp tütarfirma Tallink High Speed Line Ltd. võttis täna Raumas, STX Europe laevatehases, vastu uue kruiisilaeva Baltic Queen. Baltic Queen on 212 meetrit pikk, 29 meetrit lai ning 2800 reisijat ja 1130 liinimeetrit sõidukeid mahutav kruiisilaev. Laeval on 927 kajutit, kokku 12 erinevat restorani ja baari, kolm kauplust ja üle 450-kohaline konverentsikeskus. Lastele on mõeldud mängude tuba ja spetsiaalne lasteala. Laev suudab arendada kiirust kuni 24 sõlme. Ligi 180 miljoni euro (2,8 miljardit krooni) suurust projekti finantseeris 144 miljoni euro (2,25 miljardi krooni) suuruse laenuga Danske Bank A/S. Baltic Queen alustab plaanide kohaselt Tallinna-Mariehamn-Stockholm liinil 24. aprillil 2009., kus vahetab välja Tallinki esimese tellitud kruiisilaeva, 2002. aastal valminud M/L Romantika, mis suundub Riia-Stockholmi liinile. Romantika vahetab seal omakorda välja M/L Regina Baltica. Seega tähendab Baltic Queeni tulek uut ja paremat laeva ühekorraga kahele laevaliinile. M/L Baltic Queen on seitsmes AS-ile Tallink Grupp ehitatud laev viimase seitsme aasta jooksul.
