Eesti Vabariigi Kaitseministeerium tunnistas Ämari lennubaasi renoveerimistööde rahvusvahelise hanke võitjaks AS Merko Ehitus pakkumise. AS Merko Ehitus ja Eesti Vabariigi Kaitseministeerium sõlmivad 24. septembril 2008. aastal ehituse töövõtulepingu Väljaõppe ja administratiivstruktuuriüksuse Lennubaasi, asukohaga Ämari, Vasalemma vald, lennuvälja liiklusala rekonstrueerimiseks. Estonian Ministry of Defence declared AS Merko Ehitus tender the winner of international procurement of reconstruction of Ämari air base. On September 24th 2008 AS Merko Ehitus and Estonian Ministry of Defence will conclude a construction contract regarding the reconstruction of the Air base training and managerial business unit movement area of airport (Ämari, Vasalemma parish).
