Nordecon AS and the Kohtla-Järve City Government have entered into a contract
for the construction of a sports and health centre at Järveküla tee 41 in the
Järve district of Kohtla Järve. The centre will have three floors above ground
as well as a basement. The total net area of the first stage of construction is
13,854 m(2). The building will have a ten-lane 25-metre swimming pool with
grandstands, dressing rooms, a children's pool, a gym with dressing rooms, a
shop, sports halls for tennis and warm-up swimming, a trainers' room, aerobics
halls, a cloakroom, and dressing rooms and showers with saunas. The building
will also house a café, galleries, a children's room, and utility rooms.
The value of the contract is close to 11 million euros plus VAT. Construction
will begin in April 2019 and will be completed in two years.
